card making on a wintery day

I can't believe that a whole week has passed by. I don't know where the time is going and I don't seem to be creating much at the moment.I'm blaming the weather. I feel like snuggling under a quilt on the sofa, in front of the fire with a good romance novel.

I am working my way through the class sample which is progressing nicely. Hopefully I will be able to show you soon.

This weekend I have been making loads of new greeting cards for a mini market I am going to sell at. It will be the first time that I stand and sell my artwork, am a bit nervous about the prospect, but I am telling myself it will be a great experience.

Here are some pics from my day sewing....

I think I'm suffering from the winter blues. It's cold and miserable and wet and grey. And I'm not feeling the least bit creative.
Perhaps those of you living where the sun is shining brightly will send me some heat and sunshine?

I'll be back when I feel the vibes! LOL
Hope you are having fun this weekend!

Carole :)

I will send you some sun from Michigan. It was pretty hot here today. I spent the day at the lake with my family. We swam a lot to stay cool. Here it is hot, humid, and dry, so I have to water all my plants. Some winter days when the snow is flying I like to cuddle with my little boys under a blanket and read a good book. Try to enjoy your week in spite of the nasty weather.

Hi Carole,

I love your sweet cards you have been making and wish you well with your market.
It is hard to get motivated when the weather is wintery.
Our weather this morning was sunny and we were able to eat outdoors but it has turned cold this afternoon.
I think we have had the winter blast from the South.

Wishing you a good week ahead.
Hugs
Carolyn

I would love to send you some sunshine (although July in the North of England has been a bit of a wash out!) Your sewing looks fab and I am sure you will do really well selling your cards.

Sending virtual sunshine as there's not a lot of real sunshine here in Western Australia either at the moment! Love what you've been doing - hope it all goes well at the market. cheers, Cait

There's sunshine here, but not a lot of warmth. We're still waiting for true summer to arrive. Maybe she's on vacation somewhere else this year.

Reading by a fire sounds like a lovely way to spend a winter's afternoon. Your cards are lovely, I hope you enjoyed creating them.

Hi Carole,
Thank so much for stopping by.
Oh, I'd love to send you some Arizona sun...it's so hot here, I too have to remain indoors.

I love your creations, especially, the pink flowers, so dainty and petite.

Sorry you're feeling a bit low Carole. Sometimes we just need to snuggle up and have a good read. I'll willingly send you some sunshine from the east of the UK, just have to wait for it to come out again after a shower ;-)

Well I think I'd be under the duvet if the forecast is anything to go by, North NZ is taking a bit of a hammering at the mo. Love what your hibernation has produced, you've created your own slice of sunshine right there! hang in there!

I would love to send you some of our heat here in Savannah Georgia! It's hot. The heat index could be around 110 degrees today.

I'm concentrating really hard... do you feel the heat? I'm sending you extreme heat from Texas!!! I adore... really adore that last piece above. So pretty. The public will love your cards.... and what a great way to introduce them to the creativity you can share with them. I hope you will have flyers made up about your classes so you can put them on your table.

Oooo, I like your blue tag trio (last photo) the best! I know your stand will draw some attention-- you are unique in NZ!

I blame my lack of creativity on HEAT. I want to collapse in a heap most days. I will gladly send you some of it! Do you want EXTRA sunshine with that order? ;)

Yay you - glad you are getting creative. You are doing more than me, and I'm afraid I won't be joining you at the sales table :-( Looking forward to the lunch date tho :-)

Hi Carol, I'm in Palmerston North too and it's hard to keep cheerful. Trying to keep up with washing for four little ones doesn't help :{. I'm trying to motivate myself to sew by reminding meyself that it's not good weather for gardening! I completed a quilted duvet cover for my girl yesterday and after school she jumped straight under it with a book. Blessings, Cheri.
