My 'Yoyo Love' series of cards is out!

Last night I put the finishing touches to my new series of cards, 'Yoyo Love'.
I took a pic, which looked a little dark, but they did look good all nestled together.
This morning when I checked on their yoyo-y goodness, they still looked so cute!
So, although they all have to go in my Etsy store,
it would be great if no one bought any, so that I can spend all my free time looking at them!

Each card is made from 230gsm textured card stock, and comes with a matching envelope.
It has been left blank so that you can write or zentangle your own message :))
Each card sells for US$4 each.

(If you are a retailer or would like to stock these in your store email me for rates.)

Make an ordinary day a special day with one of these gorgeous cards!

And on that exciting note, let me remind you all
that my new card class starts VERY VERY soon!

Must dash and set up the classroom!
Might see you there!

I've been having fun making these...

These little yoyos are less than an inch in diameter, aren't they cute?

Believe it or not, I have never made a yoyo before.
I really enjoyed my yoyo creating experience...
Now, what can I use them for?

Stay tuned for a yoyo project...

Hope you have recovered from your walk down the drive with me.
The daffodils are just so beautiful at the moment, and they fill vases all over the house.
It was also my very first attempt at a You Tube video :)

Hope you have had a lovely weekend!

What you gonna do with it? ZIP IT!

Here's a range of small purses.
Each has a zip, and some have clips so you can attach it to your car keys.

I've been using one of these for my iTouch for ages - it's great!

But you could use one to pop a wee gift in, 2 gifts in one!

Or perhaps you have to wait in a waiting room?
Pop your thread, scissors and fabric in here and take them with you!

One even has a pocket on the front - for absolutely no reason what-so-ever!

So what are you going to do with that?

ZIP IT!

A hard mornings destruction!

Buddy has had a hard morning,
he's worn out, poor thing.

Can you tell he comes from a home where there is a slight tendency to rip things apart?

Mmmmm.... I wonder if he gets it off me, or I get it off him??

Thank goodness for cat scratching posts!!

a house full of Spring...

All the 1000's of gorgeous spring bulbs I planted down my long drive are now flowering, and providing us and passer-bys with a riot of colour.

In each room of my home I have a large vase of these, the scent is divine!

Each year they give me endless pleasure,
and I give a large bunch to all my visitors to take home.

Call in if you're passing!

after all that, well, I just couldn't help myself!

After all that talk of fudgy goodness on previous posts,
well, I just couldn't help myself!

I felt the need for something fudgy and sweet, and chocolatey,
so I made this :))

Everyone has a recipe for this, but here it is for those who haven't seen it before.
....And be careful girls, it goes straight to your hips!!

And of course you can all blame Linda and her stitchery project for this sudden craving!!

From the back of the Cadbury Cocoa packet:
175gm butter
2/3 cup caster sugar
4 tblspn cocoa
2 tblspn coconut
1 egg lightly beaten
1/2 cup of shelled pistachios (I didn't have any so used a whole cup of dried fruit)
250gm pkt of plain biscuits (I used about 1 and a half packets)

In a saucepan, over a medium heat, melt together, butter, sugar and cocoa for 3 mins. Stir to make sure sugar dissolves.

Remove from heat and add coconut, egg, dried fruit and biscuits that have been broken up. Mix together and then press into a tin lined with baking paper. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour.

Then ice with chocolate icing.

Enjoy
Carole :))

My art comes home :)

Isn't it life amazing when you open your mail and find a totally gorgeous piece of art?

And to make things even better, you made it yourself!

But the best thing is, that I still feel the same way about it, as when I first made it last year!

This is my collectable postcard that was published in Sew Somerset magazine,
I had completely forgotten about it. It's just arrived home.

I might just keep it for myself :))

The fudging is finished - BUT will she like it???

Remember this little peek from a couple of posts back??

I was busy fudging my way thru an addition to dear Linda's stitchery project. :)

I suspect she was getting very nervous about my fudgalicious efforts,

...and due to an extra ordinary amount of pressure, (she was simply dying to see it!) I thought I'd reveal the finished fudgery :)

What do you all think?

Will she like it?

I won't show you all of it, although she did have a preview
on her blog before she posted it off on it's travels.

I've added a wee note in her booklet, and it's heading off in the post to Patty in the States.
It's going to be so much fun to see what else gets added!

Enough already!

Well, that's enough of drooling over keyboards for now!!
Too much of a good thing, and all that....

Pick yourself up girls and feast your eyes on this.
This is Linda's stitching project, it's on it's overseas leg of the trip and it's my turn to add something "unique" to it. It will make two more stops before it gets back home to Linda's.

It is a 15 1/2" x 15 1/2" piece of linen, on which Linda and Margaret have
both added something special to.

Now I think that I might be fudging it up completely here, I'm really going for it!
I have no idea if Linda will like the path I've gone down, but I'm working like a woman possessed! LOL
And it's possibly going to be the fudgearama of the year!!

If I can pull it off, it will look super dooper fab and if I can't well, I'm sorry Linda, but I tried :))
But if I am fudging it, well, I'm having the time of my life!!

I'm smiling and stitching and cutting and smiling and more stitching - woohoo!

I can't reveal any more than the brief glimpse of fudgness shown, but from these two pics alone
you should be able to work out what I'm fudging :)

Can you tell what fudgalious design I'm creating?

And are you getting nervous Linda??
just a little bit??

This is soooo much fun!!!

I've got the nicest students!

The girls doing my journal workshop have decided to run a serviette/napkin swap. They are sending me their serviettes and when they are all here I will return a package of different ones back to them.
They are each sending me a little something in lieu of postage.

Oh what fun I'm having!

I am sure I have the nicest bunch of students that have ever taken a class!!

Thank you girls!
