One person's junk is another person's.....

TREASURE!

Not, of course, do I want you to get the wrong idea.
I don't spend a lot of time treasure hunting. Maybe I should spend more time hunting out treasures.

But I recently found these two treasures for $5.00 each framed nicely behind glass.

They are beautifully stitched in a single colour thread on what looks like very fine linen.
I've found a lovely spot to hang them too.

I love them.
Have you found anything exciting lately?
Carole :)

I'm pretty sure the second image is of Durham Cathedral in the NE of England. Do they have any titles?

A wonderful find and I'm glad they've gone to a good home.

I love these, they are really beautiful. I received some broken jewelry that belonged to my husbands grandmother. I am going to use it in my art so it has a new life.

What a wonderful find!! I would definitely have given them a home too. My latest find is my hand I picked up in a thrift store. It's silly, it's weird, and serves no active person - but - I love it!!

I think ju-north is right and I think the top one is Anne Hathaway's cottage, Shakespeare's wife. They're lovely!

While visiting my sister who haunts Goodwill (thrift) stores, I was exceptionally lucky. I found two full-size cotton batts for $5.00 and a pair of madras shorts for $3.95 (made in India!) that I will cut up and make a quilt with. Love it! I'm going to have to visit thrift stores more often!
