I've had a terrible thing happen. I found project I had completely forgotten about. Not a little project, a queen sized quilt... bought the fabric 3 years ago, in or 4 quilt shops in 2 or 3 cities as I recall, printed the block instructions and the 7 border instructions each month for a year... but I only made one block. How could this happen? Really? I have no idea! It's lovely fabric. I remember about a year ago a friend asked me "didn't you have another quilt, remember when we went shopping in Wellington?" and I denied it. Well it turns out she was right!!! Today I have improved the situation by 150% by making 1 and 1/2 blocks (VBG).
Seriously though it's quite exciting because it's like finding hidden treasure.
I am trying to finish a few things off. High on my list is my wall hanging. I have renamed it and feel some renewed enthusiasm.
There is lots of mending and shortening to do in the sewing basket and I want to make a cushion for my eldest daughter and little bed covers for the twins I mind.
I have at least 6 different projects calling to me, but I am going to focus on working on a Book of Days today. Hopefully it will end up being a really cool journal of my year. It is a free class taught by Effy Wild. I'm finding that it is fun to paint and make a mess on paper as well as work with fabrics.
I'm glad you like that app! haha I should post mine!! I'm cleaning out bins in the art room and just watched the Houston football team win their playoff game!!!
Love the phone app, amazing wee things these days. I have a few ufos that need attending to, a couple of quilts that need sending on their way! and a fabric stash that is in serious need of busting :) My holiday is now over tho :( back to work tomorrow

Lots more of course.
Hoping for a very productive year.

Alas no. I'm trying really hard not to start anything new. I have an embarrassing numer of UFOs. Sigh. :-)
