Normally I don't think this would be a big deal. However, where did it come from and what kind of bird made it?
It's huge! And it's got all sorts of goodies in it. There was bits of plastic, lots of feathers, a lot that looked like chicken feathers, there was even horse hair.
When I loosened it there was an old tissue tucked in there. Perhaps we have some very emotional birds living around here? LOL
I wondered if it belonged to a magpie? But how did it end up on the roof?

Birds are so clever when you see their nests'
I'm curious to know if the nest was built there or if it arrived through some other means. It's amazing how birds can manage to build such intricate structures when all they have to work with is their little beaks.
A great nest indeed! You need to leave some strings outside and keep checking your roof to see if someone uses them! ha!
