I'm not sure where this is going, but I've decided to make a quilt using some of the pretty doilies and fabric that I've collected.
This is the September block.
I'm looking forward to seeing where this leads :)
Has anyone made a quilt using their pretty linens?

No.....but I have a beautiful collection of my own linens, my mother's and my mother-in-law's.....
No, but I oove where you're going with yours! I like that your block is not symetrical. Nice design!
I have collected lots of linens, doillies and lace too and have every intention of making a quilt from them and maybe from other inherited vintage garments (pinnies and the like). My problem is I don't know where to start and keep changing my mind. Susan Lenz made a beautiful canopy with doillies that she had collected. She blogs as Art in Stitches.
Wow - it is going to be stunning
No, I haven't. But this is great! I keep thinking I might stitch my mother's crocheted doilies together as a table runner... that's as far as I've gotten. Your quilt will be gorgeous!
I like where you're going with this! I've been cutting up old linen pieces to use in the classes I've taken with Karen Ruane - at least it's a good repurposement (not a word!!) of the stained and torn pieces.
Such a beautiful block! Great idea!

Tatyana
