A fabric arch

I finished work on this arch I'm making for Patsy in the Textile Challenges group. She wanted something that looked a little old, and said she like lace etc... I soaked some calico, muslin and lace in coffee first, the sandwhiched them together leaving the edges open. I'm not sure if it looks "old", but it feels nice, it's very tactile. It has buttons, beads, lace, charm, stamps and a photo on it. It's quite different for me.
GUESS WHAT???? ...... Give up right now, you'll never guess! We had about 6 hours of weak sunshine today! Whoopee! At least it was sun, .....and then, it rained!

Have a great Monday everyone!
Carole

Carole ~ your fabric arch is really lovely and it does have a vintage feel to it. I have enjoyed romping around your blog. Love seeing pics of flowers I've never even heard of! Blogland is amazing!

This is beautiful! I love combining old fabrics and laces and photos etc. Well done.
Thank you for stopping by my blog! It is always nice to meet a new friend. My son was in your lovely country back in Aug- Dec of 2006 for a semester of college study. He fell in love with the whole north island and had a great trip to south island to snowboard as well. He will be back...

Wow! Wow! Wow! This piece is gorgeous! I love your blog because you do so many different things. It will take me quite a few visits to read everything I want to read. I will definately bookmark it and return later. It is brilliant to have a comment left by a New Zealander. Sometimes I feel I am so far away from the people I communicate with in the USA.
