WOO HOO!! I'm celebrating 100 posts!

Happy blogging to me!
Well, 100 posts, aye, I must say I doubted my ability to keep up regular posting. I've never been a journal or diary person, so I'm feeling quite pleased with myself for achieving this.

During my 100 posts I have met many lovely people and made some amazing friends, I have realised that there are some very talented people out there and got to know a small portion of you. Some of you I admire from a distance. I learn't lots of new techniques, and have been inspired over and over again by the wonderful work you share on your blogs.

I guess most importantly, keeping this blog has encouraged me to create more, to think outside the square and to be brave enough to show the world what I've been making!

Thank you for your kind comments.

This has been a fun adventure!

I made these two lovely pieces of silk paper last weekend. Above: this is made from Tussah silk, and Below: this piece is made from 50% merino wool and 50% silk.

And I'd like to give them away to 2 people who leave a comment during this week, (between 4th and 17th Aug)

Have a great week everyone!
Carole

Woohoo, 100! Bet you didn't know you had that much to say. I am so lazy I might never reach 100. Seems I can either craft or write, both. Love the papers!

congrats on your 100th post - would you believe I'm nearing 1000 myself? Wow. Anyway, when i started I also wondered if i'd be able to keep with it, as I've never been a journal person, but I really like it - helps organise my thoughts and goals at the same time as being a part of a great community...

oh, and I'd love to win one of those pieces!

congratrs on the 100th post Carole. Good job. Love the silk papers. Where did you learn that?
I found one of my started altered books, not the one I was looking for and then got side tracked at ARTchix studio and bought some supplies, lol. So that ended my search for now. Had great fishing this week, only 2 days but caught a 34 1/2 inch Northern Pike which was exciting. Write more later sweetie. Hugz, Scary

Well done Carole! Great stuff. So thought of you this week, was in Ireland where I picked up a book titled Altered Books Workshop, Bev Brazelton, now this is one you really need to see! Apart from book shopping I spent the week eating cake (thought of you again:) and wandering along shorelines that could have been anywhere in NZ, ahhh bliss

Congrats on your 100th post!! And what beautiful paper! If I was the lucky receiver of one, it would have to sit around and be admired for awhile, I don't think I could bring myself to use it right away!!

Wow, congratulations on the 100th post! What an achievement (says someone who only publish twice a month... :-( )!!!
I love the silk paper pieces that you made. I have tried it too. The first time it seemed to work well, but the second time (yes, working in an AB in a RR) it did not work at all! What kind of glue do you use?

Hope that you consider me too for the giveaway. You will have a hard job to choose!
Anyway, up to the next 100 posts! (Am off now to read more on you blog, guess not all 100 of them... cause I should be doing some proper work at this moment)
