This morning we headed to Wanganui (1 hour west of Palmerston North) to watch some classic trials bikes. These were the old classic bikes, and to ride the trials bikes skill is required not speed. The idea is to traverse an obstacle course without putting your feet down on the ground, and the bike rarely gets out of 1st gear, so it's a slow. I was amazed to find that the oldest rider there competing today was 73, while the youngest was under 14. Of course toting a camera with me everywhere I had to take gazillions of photos!!!
