It has been a drizzly old day here, if it's only going to be this light then it needs to last for a couple of weeks. Oh well, some rain is better than none!
This afternoon I played with the accidental landscape idea again. It's a bit plain, but I like it. This one is slightly smaller than an A4 sheet of paper, I'm going to try making one that is 5x7". Hope you've all had a great weekend!

I like this piece, Carole. What is an accidental landscape idea?
Hi Fannie, I attended a lecture from American artist Karen Eckmeier a few weeks back, and Accidental landscapes and Happy villages are her brainchild. They are very easy to make and require very little fabric, and very little sewing. But you can do lots of embellishing if you want. She has a website,

Her happy villages are really fun too, but I haven't tried them yet. I'm almost finished another landscape so I'll put that on the blog when it's done.
Let me know what you think.
i love this landscape too. I took her class here in Virginia,USA. She is a very good teacher. But I haven't worked on anything since that class. You've got me thinking.
